Faquetigue Mardi Gras, Feb, 5, 2008
The Faquetigue Mardi Gras Run is shown from about 9:30 until 10:30
a.m. heading through the countryside, with music all around from the
many musicians who participate. The Pas Bon Head Start school bus rolled
along with Mardi Gras on trailers, on horseback, and on foot. After the
run, everyone gathered under the giant oak trees for more music,
dancing, and gumbo. The Lafayette Rhythm Devils performed first,
followed by Jeffery Broussard and the Creole Cowboys.
